trochus snails are great little lawnmowers for your glass, and they can right themselves up when they get flipped or fall

Every time you use your magnetic scraper, lift it up and let any sand fall out. Everybody who gets sand trapped and scrapes the glass hates themselves! LOL. Best wishes!

Every time you use your magnetic scraper, lift it up and let any sand fall out. Everybody who gets sand trapped and scrapes the glass hates themselves! LOL. Best wishes!

Alright everyone,

Tank has been up and running for 3 months now. I’m very happy I went the fish and inverts only route (for now), but my tank is lacking color. I started with dry rock, so it doesn’t even have the colors of live rock. I’m not ready to go the coral route yet. Anyone have any recs as to what I can add that will add some color and flair? I’d like to avoid artificial coral if possible. TIA!

Macro algae can add color if your not ready for coral yet

A turbo snail will eat it for sure, guess macroalgae is out of the question

A turbo snail will eat it for sure, guess macroalgae is out of the question

Yikes, that’s too bad. I love the look of macroalgae. Turbo snails will eat any kind of algae I suppose.

if you only have one maybe you could trade it in with your lfs for a trochus or astrea if you want macro algae
