What is everyone's thoughts on putting a 150 gallon Marineland tank, stand, and canopy in a double-wide? I am in the construction business so I understand that aspect, which leads me to believe then that 6 foot spread over the floor joist should be fine. Right now I have a 5 foot 100 gallon in a double-wide and it has been fine for over two years.

Had a friend with an acrylic 300g system in a mobile. It was fine. If you're really worried, a couple of screw jacks under the corners should settle any worries you might have.

I don't think I'll have an issue since it's not an ancient trailer. Maybe 15 years old. You hear of everyone saying don't do it, but no one really ever saying that they had a tank fall through the floor either. From a construction standpoint, I think that the floor should hold it just fine.

150g tank == 1500lbs (or so), and even with a narrow, tall design, that's going to be spread over about 9 sq ft of floor space. That's 165lb per foot. Meaning if your average 200lb guy can stand in one place without falling through, it's probably OK.
