Ok so tank has been running 84 for awhile now. In the first pic I am getting some stn? on the acro.
It may have come from when I scrape the pavona on the back wall though as its hard to catch all of the pieces.
All other corals are fine though.
Anyway I had this Tunze fan and added it this morning. Temp is now 80 which is room temp which can only help.

Tanks 10 months today.

I was dosing 15ml esv 2 part 2x a day. I dosed double and alk is comming down from 12 now.
I do this on this system and my 45 frag system

I went back to 1x a day on both.
Not to much damage but did lose the blue matrix though.

I removed the purple Stylo as the cactus coral touched it and killed it pretty quick. This is the last of the cactus coral I will keep.
Removed the orange cyphaestra, I think its one, from back wall to frag system. Cactus coral was getting close.

Everytime I tried to scrape the coral off pieces would float around and land on coral. I could not catch all pieces even using a net. My cactus coral experience is it kills anything it touches.

I broke the green slimer trying to net cactus scrapings. It was encrusted on the back wall. Somehow I was able to recover it and glue it back on.

Just started feeding esv phyto. I am seeing better poylp extention when adding.

Decided to change 16hd settings todqy.
I like the whiter look of current setting. I am using this on my 30g remote to the 80.

G 6
R 6
W 30
NEW

Still have bubble algae and always will in this system. I remove what I can but access to it is limited.

I will be switching to A4R on this system as soon as it arrives. Alk at 9.6. 7.5 is the target.
I will document it when I start.
A few locals use it and have great results with it for awhile now.
What is it that you hope to achieve with the switch?
I personally didn’t like AFR for many reasons, that main was the delayed nature of the calcium formate that takes time to get metabolised by bacteria and broken down to KH and CA, which could take up to 2-3 for the change to be detected via your test kit. another was the quality of the solution itself, inconsistencies in colours, parameters and formation of yellow precipitates (keep in mind I was buying the ready mixed solution so there was no user error on my behalf). All of these were said not be problems by tropic Marin. However it showed great results when it worked.

I just want to try it. No real reason other than to see if it is as good or bad as some people say.

wow man, that was unexpected. How come? No time or just really focusing on the other tanks?
I have a few things I want to do now that im retired.
Plus the nanos for me are just to small. I will use the A4R on the frag system for now. I am looking at doing a carx on the 45 though.
Just getting tired of dosing by hand. I have a 4 head doser but never set it up.
For me a carx system is almost no maintenance.
That way I can be away from home a few days when I want.
I still have my 120 so who knows?
The 2 blue stags I removed from the nano.
I also trimmed my frag system and moved more over to the 80.
I am now running 1 16hd on the frags sump.

Excellent work. Sad to see the little tank go. I have a couple questions if you wouldn't mind. Are there any additional things that you dose to your tanks. I saw you mention phyto plankton. Is that something you do consistently? Do you carbon dose or any other regular supplements? What foods do you feed your fish?
