Hey everyone,

Hoping you guys could help with my stocking list for a new 180g tank that I'm starting up. These are all wants of mine, but I'm not sure if I've picked too many, or if they'll get along.

The tank will be a mixed reef.

  1. 4/5 Chromis
  2. Pair of Picasso Clowns
  3. Pair of black/white clowns
  4. Yellow Tang
  5. Blue Tang
  6. Blonde Naso Tang
  7. Panther grouper (this one is for my wife...gotta keep her happy lol)
  8. Foxface
  9. Pair of Engineer Goby
Thanks!

Panther groupers are very predatory and grow quickly. The clowns, chromis, and possibly engineer gobies will be on the menu.

While not my experience, many have reported that they behave aggressively with each other as they mature.

The rest should be fine, but the naso may outgrow the tank.

I've decided to take the panther grouper off the list and added a blue throat trigger.

Is there a specific order that I should add them in?

I'm thinking of starting with the chromis, then all the clowns at once, and then all the tangs at once so there's no issue with territory.

What are your thoughts?

Good plan, but I would personally add the foxface before or with the yellow tang.

Hits every point I thought of.

Hey jmt1030,

Good choice :) Did you get them all?
