Im about to break down my 75 and move the 180 in. I have a powder brown tang (3.5"), blue tang (3-3.5"), tomini tang (2.5"), one spot foxface (3-3.5"), yellow watchman goby, Carpenters flasher wrasse (2"), melanurus wrasse (3"), two clowns (1.5"). I do have a large clean up crew.

What I want to add:
Blonde Naso tang
Desjardini tang (Red Sea)
Copperband Butterfly
Mandarin goby
Orange shoulder tang?
Angel or two?
Couple more wrasse
Couple anthias?

There will be 1-2" of sand and lots of caves, rock and hiding places.

What do yall think?

I would pick either the powder blue or orange shoulder. And if you add them they need to be bigger than the powder brown. Very good chance they still fight in the tank though.

I do also agree that is a ton of tangs for a 180. 3-4 would be a lot easier.

These are the ones I am interested/want in. I didn't say I was putting them all in. I came here to see what others think about my list and order to add fish going forward. I did not mean to add the powder blue to the list. Ive got the brown and don't want fighting.

The orange shoulder is the same genus as the powders so be aware. A Naso would be a temporary resident as it will eventually get to big. Wrasses are a great idea and there are a ton of options.

Clown Tang is absolutely one of the worst fish you can put in a tank. Super mean. Copper band is fine but it can go after some Coral and they're picky eaters. So get one that is eating.

Im prepared for the copperband as best as one can be. All my fish go through HTTM quarantine. My system is clean. The clown tang i already knew....I just dont want to accept it.

Around how many in that list would you want to add? Realistically you would only want to add a couple. Are there any on there you're particularly attached to? Like someone earlier said a 180 really isn't any place a blonde naso should live as a full grown adult

In reality I expect 2-3 more tangs, 1 butterfly, 1 mandarin and maybe a couple anthias or wrasse. Hoping to add an angel but not sure

I’d suggest a whitetail bristletooth tang. Their brush like mouth provides a utility in cleaning and generally are easier to keep with the others in your group.
