I use redsea magnesium test and test all parameters every Sunday before my 10% water change. the past few weeks my Magnesium has been;
1400
1480
1480
1850

I retested the last one and came up with similar results......what's going on and how bad is this for my fish/corals/inverts?

Bad test result. Lots of folks have issue with Red Sea magnesium.

Magnesium cannot rise that much unless you add several pounds of dry magnesium additive to a 100 gallon aquarium.

I always have 2 different brands of tests for each
Parameter I test for.
If ones off the other can verify. Have had some hobby test kits that had quite different results from batch to batch.
Taking a sample to your lfs for testing can also verify results.
