We never consider nitrite at all because it’s a neutral param in all displays and because the tests can misread.

Even if nitrite is present, and it takes a long time to develop natural controls for it (but not for ammonia, that’s out of the bottle) it doesn’t matter, nitrite testing isn’t required in our example links.

you had already surpassed the start time dates, extra tests won’t add to any better start it’s ready after the common water change we do or in the case of larger tanks no recent direct ammonia dosing. Only ammonia control matters in reef cycling, I know the formal stuff doesn’t agree yet it’s a rare internet nerd thing currently. All reef convention entrants know to disregard it, so they can make the start date for a tank trusted to carry fifty thousand in bounce corals.
