Question: if I removed all my fish to a QT tank, because I suspected ich in two of my tangs, should I keep my skimmer still running?

I have a B Magus curve 5 skimmer and since I only have a cleaning shrimp and other inverts in my DT, I don't feed much. Now, the skimmer is running but doesn't skim much -- given there's not much waste.

On a different note, how do I become a 'trusted member? Is it with my number of posts/likes? Or do I have to upgrade my acct?

I would keep the skimmer running - you won't have to clean it as often, but it removes things that other filtration methods just can't grab easily.

I don't know if I've ever seen the "trusted member", but "well-known member" will come along with post count, AFAIK.

Sweet! I just didn't want it to 'break or malfunction.

And yes, I meant "well-known" member. Thanks!
