Thanks for response. Better photo this morning I've noticed the rear spot is slightly smaller than last night and the front spot now has a very faint white dot in the centre. Am now wondering if its annoyed the tomato clowns who are nesting in an anemone and itscaught the gill barb.
Thanks Jay. I have a small spine urchin that would make sense as it's been hanging around the rocks the foxface moves into at nightI see this from time to time. From what I've been able to determine, these are caused by puncture injuries, but I also can't rule out corals stings. Punctures like these can be from longspine urchins or the yellow tang in the photo above.
The circular blanching is a reaction of the skin, and may indicate a slight bacterial infection.
It seems that this issue typically gets better on its own if you treat or not, so I always opt to just watch and see.
Jay
Thanks for responseWith all the tangs I have, I generally see a slash rather than circle but have had powder blue get a sting from RBTA and looked like a bullseye circle
Suspect and agreeThanks Jay. I have a small spine urchin that would make sense as it's been hanging around the rocks the foxface moves into at night
