Hi,
I am from the UK and trying to work out how many grams a US Cup equates to so I can mix up the Magnesium part (Recipe 1, 3A) of Randys 2 part. It seems to depend on the solid for what a cup can mean in grams -
https://www.dovesfarm.co.uk/hints-tips/cheat-sheets/us-cups-conversion-table

Any idea how many grams of Magnesium Chloride and Epson Salts I should use to mix 1 US gallon?

Many thanks

Good idea. It is much more accurate to „weigh“ the salts instead of just „measure by its volume“ (cups). The thing is that products available might have different density.

I will tell you the weights once i‘m at home and can have a look in my database.

You should do fine if you dissolve 422,7 g MgCl2 6xH2O + RODI to end with 1 Liter of stock solution

or as 1 US gallon = 3,78 Liter -> just multiply with 3,78
-> 1598 g MgCl2 6xH2O + RODI to end with 1 gallon of stock solution
