Looking at your tank there is no bloody way in this universe you need to be dosing calcium. There are no corals in there consuming it, and anybody that tells you you need to dose two parts I really wish they would get another hobby...like shooting empty beer bottles with a BB gun or something.

Again, there is no way that tank is consuming calcium or magnesium. Can point you to a half dozen Youtube top 10 advice videos of what new reefers do wrong, and this is #1.

However, alk is very unstable in young tanks and will often be consumed faster than anything else because it's consumed by more than corals such as all the micro biology establishing in the tank.

Keep alk levels up. Until you get some serious SPS going water changes will keep calcium where it should be.
