Yeah you only need it to move water through the system. The mp10 is more than enough for your frags.

Perhaps you could leave just the bottom elbow attached with the return water jetting toward the surface.

If you painted it black, it would be nearly invisible and look pretty slick.....especially if you put another small rock in front of it.

I had the same tank for awhile. @Rob.D has it now. I liked it a lot.

You should spray paint the white pvc black. Actually, I'd be tempted to take the spray bar completely off. Or plug the spray bar directly into the bottom elbow and have it spray vertically. Could always plug up the bottom few holes if it's blowing sand.

Just a thought.

Yep, I recently changed mine from a traditional "frag" tank, with the egg crate and corals on plugs to a display. I added about 10 lbs of LR but know seeing everyone with the black sand I'm thinking about adding a few lbs of sand but I might be better off waiting until we move to the house..... great looking utility room @Jeeper !
