20 Gallon Log

Hi All -

Looking for suggestions in lighting for a 20 gallon long. Just starting out, long term looking to mixed reef. Somewhat on a budget. Tank I bought on craigslist came with a generic 2 bulb t5 system. Not sure this will suffice. So looking for suggestions or feel free to PM me if you have something your looking to offload.

You'll probably have to experiment with the height in which you hang it above your tank though to get the best coverage.

I ve been looking at those. My biggest concern on those is the quality (Chinese knock offs)... Are people really using the Mars systems out there?

Mars Aqua lights have some very high reviews. I know of a few people using them that really love them. I'm using an old boostled fixture which is just an older version of the Chinese black boxes of today. It's over my frag tank and doing a great job. It's also the light I had over my 40B mixed reef back in the day...
