Good afternoon,
A while back I posted asking for tank mate suggestions for my gold stripe maroon and neon dottyback in my 20 that have been getting along great for the past several months (forgot when I got them). Due to the scape (I tried taking inspo from the BRS NSA video) the dottyback has its caves and hidey spots, and the clown hangs out near his different BTAs on the rock scape. Recently I have been slowly moving a few of the coral from this tank to my other 20 gallon to help fill it up (like a bubblegum digi since it had encrusted onto the rock so I moved the original frag to the other tank).
Anyways, that's besides the point. Last time, I got suggestions for a tankmate to round off the stocking for the tank, which generally consisted of getting another maroon for the current one. My questions now:
1. Any other possibilities, like an equally-as-aggressive fish that can hold its own, but isn't a maroon or dottyback? As mentioned in the other thread "any fish in that tank with a female maroon clown is in trouble 🤣 " @littlefoxx
2. Since I have two tanks, part of me is considering trying something different with this tank and moving the corals and anemones (at least a couple) into the other 20 or keeping them inside an acclimation box, rehoming/moving around some livestock and trying something new? Any ideas? (small puffer, other species-only tanks, etc)...

I guess I'm looking for ideas about possible directions I could take this tank.

Feel free to let me know if any of the above is a horrible idea.

I think the tank is already pretty cramped. Not sure whose advice you were following, but a 20g tank doesn't seem like enough for a maroon once she grows a bit more, and definitely not a pair.

My maroon female is in with a lot of big and aggressive fish so she is behaved. I have a tomato in a separate tank and she kills everything!
