I have a 20 gallon aquarium that I was thining would be a cool little predator tank. The thing is I don't know what type of predator fish I could put in it. So, what types of predators could I put in it if I was to set it up?

20 gal seems really small for a predator...but maybe an angler?

So far it seems that a few species of puffers can go in there, wasp fish, some anglers as well. Maybe someone knows of some other types.

All of these I'm guessing could go into a 20 gallon correct?

Not all together at the one time because of bioload, but I'm sure that's not what you meant.

Yeah not all at once, but as in each species is suitable for 20 gallons. Like I can choose any one of those and they are suitable for 20 gallons

I think a blue spotted puffer or valteni and a angler would be cool additions to a 20 gallon pred tank

That's what I was thinking was a puffer. My girlfriend has always liked puffers, but I have a very peaceful reef tank that they would probably devastate

Then a dwarf lion and a small angler should also work. Watch the water quality.

I also am playing with this idea right now. Could I keep a juvenile lionfish or a juvenile porcupine puffer in a 20g for a year? He would be the only fish in the tank
