How big is too big for a sump? My 13.5 has a ten gallon sump that is caked with macro algae etc. instead of cleaning it I am thinking of just buying another tank for 1 dollar a gallon. This time a 20 gallon.

20 gallon sump for a 13.5?

Here is the dirty 10. I know I can fit a 20 easily.

Generally speaking, the greater the water volume, the greater the water stability. I say ‘Go for it!’ :)
