How much were the godzilla mushrooms? We had a local frag swap this past weekend and I was very tempted to buy the only one at the show and it was $400. The guy selling told me they were hard to keep. He said he had 3 and only the one he was selling had survived. I've had one in the past and it did great for about 6 months and even had a baby. One day it and the baby decided to melt for no reason.

I'm glad the swaps are doing well in other locations. The last 5 or 6 locally have seen horrible attendance. We are talking maybe 50 people showing up during the day. The last couple for last year were cancelled. Only thing that seems to really draw a crowd is Aquashella and it is mostly freshwater attendees.

The smallest godzilla was 250 from what I remember. The only mushroom I have is a sunkist bounce that was very generously priced by a gentleman that lives near me. It has split into 2 since then.

I think it is a local thing. We have several garage sellers in the area that basically flood FB with 2 or 3 listings a week and they seem to sell a lot, I would say more than some of the LFS. Many years ago we would have 3 or 4 vendors at our swaps that were from other parts of the country. Now they lose money if they come. RAP here has been slow I believe, to the point vendors are packing up a couple of hours before the show is even over. Aquashella has a great turn out, but as I stated before, it seems to be mostly freshwater people. Back in March of last year we had a frag swap the same day as a freshwater show. The freshwater show started an hour earlier so I went by there first. I ended up just not even stopping. There were no parking spots to be found and the line was probably 50 people deep and it had been open for half an hour. Drove on to the frag swap and there were maybe 20 people there. When frag swaps are brought up on FB in our local reefing groups, the main complaint I see from people are the prices.
