hello fellow reefers

I started my 20g reef about 12 days ago.
Ive added a pair of clowns and I plan a mixed reef with lps and a few easier sps. Maybe also some zoa‘s on the sandbed.

I always loved anthias, but I know my 20g is too small for anthias and I shouldnt keep one alone.

What else could I add to my tank?
I want a more active fish I guess.

thanks for your suggestions!

I like blennies. Lawnmower's have a great personality. You could also go with a court jester goby, Royal Gramma, Neon Goby, Firefish, Yellow Line Goby, Hectors Goby, Pearly Jawfish, etc.

Well blennies are cool for sure! But imo they keep chilling in the rocks. Well depends on the blenny i guess.

Is there a more active fish?

Chromis are a bit „normal“

The tanks too small for a lawnmower blenny, they need at least a 55g.

They are small and non-aggressive. They also are not open water swimmers. I have also kept lawnmower blennies for years and sold hundreds of them. A 20 gallon is fine for them as long as the clowns are not defensive.

This is a very controversial subject… lawnmower blennies can get aggressive towards other fish their size/boby shape. But here again, that depends on the blenny and the other tank mates.
