this tank/system is idling along the zoas are trying to take over the world! I'm still planning on connecting them both (the two fish only tanks to the existing 48g reef) together next year lol that's when I'll have the time, for now they are just up and running!

well unfortunately the plans to hook these up is being prolonged a little more, some of the live rock I had came in with a few aiptasia and I was killing them as I saw them but some must have spread because I'm noticing them in the sump so I know they are in the plumbing. i cant believe they got past me i was pretty vigilant, it really sux because the tanks are finally mature and I felt good about connecting them.

so when I get time in March I'm going to remove the fish and cuc to a temporary tank with the live rock and drain the system and leave it to dry out for a few days, and also unfortunately I'll dry all the rock out and start over, ahhhh...

I've had aiptasia before and I don't feel like going through that, if this tank was already growing coral and well established it would probably be a different decision, and bigger regrets, but with this tank pretty much just starting and connecting it to my established tank that I enjoy, im not going to risk it just to be in a hurry.

so I'll drain, refill , and use a few pieces of live rock from my other system to help bring the live stock back over. and speed up the process I'll give it just a couple of months this time, I really want them connected so I can slim down the testing and automation. (3 seperate systems starts to feel like work)
