Did you decide on what steel to use yet? If not, it seems like a lot of people go with 2” 11 gauge or 1/8” wall tubing for larger tanks.
I am planning a stand for my 65 gallon right now (48x18”) and will be using 1.5” 11 gauge for the bottom and sides, with 1.5x3” 11 gauge all the way around the top so I don’t have to use vertical center braces.
It’s been a long time since the stand talk but I went with a wood stand. 7ft x28” x39”. I used 2x6’s and 2x10’s for support . My tank is 6ft so going to have some side space. Now i have to figure out the bottom cover and doors.
I have a 75g tank around. Going to use it for a sump. Anyone have any good diy sump pieces. I might use some of the 75g for a small aquarium. Not sure though.
