So I am looking into buy some jebaos for my soon 180g reef and was thinking of going with 2 rw-20s instead of 2 rw-15s. I can always turn them down and I can keep for any future upgrades. On reefbreeders it is only $10. For the bigger and wider powerhead. What is everyones thoughts. Too much flow?

Anyone have 2 rw-15s on a 180 and does anyone have 2 rw-20s on a 180. It is the standard 72x24x24. But it has the two overflows in the middle.

I have 2 rw15's on my 180. I had to turn them down. I'd say the rw20 is going to be much more than you need, but it's true you can turn them down.

You said you have 2 rw-15s on ur 180. What kind of cors l do you have. And how far did you have to turn them down. I mainly want the rw-20s for the wider flow snd the possibility of more flow and its only $10 more.

I have everything from softies to sps. I turned mine down bc I was blowing sand around and bc it was too much for some of the acros that were close to them. One is on 70% and the other on 50%. Not saying your situation is the same and you could even turn down the rw20 to around where I have mine set.

If it helps, the rw15 is similar in strength to a vortech mp40 while the rw20 is similar to the mp60.

I would say rw20 because of a few reasons that you have mentioned already. Wider flow, only $10 more, you can turn them down, and you will have that option to crank them up if needed to.

I run 2 rw15's on my 90 set to w1 and 4 leds and almost create a wave big enough to cross my center brace
