2x250mh and 4 65watt is this to much for a 55g?

I have a older model oddyssea fixture new never used laying around I was wondering if
2x250mh and 4 65watt is this to much for a 55g? . or 75g tank. has anyone uses this wattage over these tanks.?

how high above the tank I only have the legs that came with the light. I can build a canopy though

any info I would be grateful

You'd be fine with 1- 250w MH and 4-65w for the 55.
And yes, 2 250w and 4 65w would be excellent for the 75g, SPS tank.
10" above the water line would be fine
