3/5th sea star??? Some odd hitchhiker

Just found, and took off, the below critter from one of our cleaner hermit crabs. Hope the pictures accurately show how small it is.

Love to know if anyone knows what this is and whether it's a nuisance or not. As always thank you!

Asteria star, very common. Some consider bad others neutral. Probably just send it down the pipe.

Asterina sp. star. In all the years I've kept marine systems (going on 35) I have yet to have a asterina star do anything other than eat film algae and detritus. I go so far as to move them from tank to tank if one system seems to be running low. IMHO, a valuable part of your CUC

I usually grab them in DT and throw in another tank. I haven’t had any bad experiences and I have a few species. I was hoping one would start eating my ball anemones ;Happy
