30 gallon sump build question

Would building sump baffles from a 20 gallon long aquarium work for a 30 gallon sump?

20 gallon aquarium = 20 bucks on sale
baffles 1/4 inch cut etc by a glass store (A lot of $$$)

has anyone tried to breakdown a tank to use it for the baffles?

thanks. yea I saw those before. I have my own ideas for the sump build. I am even thinking I might have to go 40 gallon as 30 is still too small.
