300 gallon tank being shipped this week need help

I went ordered a 300 gallon tank that will be shipped this week. I know you all are about salt but I want a fresh water tank with lots of fish and plants. The help I need is what to use for substrate in this new tank? There far more choices these days so if anyone is still into fresh water your suggestion would be most helpful.

there are some good folks there and im sure they can help ya. some use sand, some dirt their tanks, some use fluval subsrate beads. i have used them all and been happy with them all.
