I am about to purchase a 150 marineland dual intake. Not my first saltwater tank. I have a 30 gallon salt set up a couple months ago. I also have been keeping fish (ponds, 125, and many other smaller tanks) for about 6 years. I want to upgrade and put it parallel to my fresh water 125 I think it would look sick. I need to know what equipment I need for a tank that size. Every step of the way. And on a budget. I want it to have a lot of coral and fish(reef tank). I need to know what fish to buy and equipment. Please help me. I will post constantly to update every step of the way.

How much rock should I need for a reef tank?
I would start with over 100lbs. By the time you bust up the big pieces and start designing you may end up needing more. Be sure to take your time and not rush. Building the tank is the exciting part. From there it will be months of waiting and ugly phase.

Here is the tank with the lights, I put the rocks, the rocks on the left I would cover in sand to create a lifted sand and a place for mushrooms to grow. What do you think?
