The 73g reefer tank didn’t satisfy for very long… have the perfect space in our basement to build a large in wall tank with fish room. I’ve got a 300 gallon stock tank holding the real live rock and aging some dry sand. Tangs got ich so everyone is in the newly setup QT during the build. I’ve got most of the gear and the tank is probably a couple weeks out at this point. Starting the stand build this weekend.

Stand is complete and painted. Sat the sump in there to start thinking about how I want to setup plumbing, etc. Just talked to @Joe Glass Cages and found out my tank is done and curing! Should have some tank pics to post later today. Planning to get the stand in the wall this weekend and cut my opening... tank should be in place soon!!

You planning on having the tank flush with the viewing wall or set back the 4" wall width? It matters for how your stand integrates with the wall.

The wall is not load bearing so I'm going to cut out the studs and mount the stand flush with the drywall. I'll trim around the front viewing panel on the other side so it will look like a picture frame basically. Open to other awesome ideas, but that's the plan currently.
