History
Have been in the hobby on and off for about 10 years. Have seen tons of changes over the past years with tank designs. Coral selection (and prices), equipment enhancements and a lot more. I have had a 55Gallon Long with sump, 10 Gallon High w/ sump, 20 Gallon High w/ sump, and a 16 Gallon Nuvo. The reason however for this new tank so soon is because of a tank leak on an IM Nuvo 16 that leaked within a few months. So I went with a custom build from a reputable builder, PicO Aquariums! I have never had any tank issues in the past but after my IM disaster I went with the best!
Design & Inspiration
I have learned a lot over the past few tanks I have had from my 55 Gallon algae disaster in high school to my Nuvo 16 Leak and each tank has gotten better each time. All of those experiences have led me to this tank today! I currently have a 2 island approach but still feels cluttered. I plan on rescaping soon to a more minimal island/floating approach in the future with more thought given to the growth pattern of my corals.
