Going the DIY route on a light fixture.

I have a stripped down 46" aquatic life expert series heatsink that I will eventually be converting into an LED/T5 hybrid. Not sure if I want to stay with the tank mount option, or hang it.

Had an early day so water change and misc. Cleaning / maintenance underway. Might have new a fish or 2 this weekend, as well as some potential new goodies by the middle of next week if the weather is cooperative.

What are those fish? Also did you see aquatic life's new hybrid lighting mounts? Might be something you're interested in.

Following along for updates!

They are trimma / eviota gobies . I did see the new fixture, it is on my radar for sure.

There will be more updates coming in the next couple of days with better pics of the fish, I have a big box of coral coming in tomorrow.

Awesome, where did you get your gorgonians from, btw? I have 3 that I got from kp aquatics and I love them, but I am thinking of getting a few more.

Looking good. Are you thinking of doing and non photosynthetic gorgs or corals, too?

I want to, but feel the tank is too young to support the bioload from the feeding needs. As it matures i would love to add some sun corals, carnations, etc. I also want to try a blueberry gorg, but Im terrified of it. Im also a huge fan of the spider sponge , haven't really looked into what the care requirements are though.
