I have a waterbox 230.6 arriving in the next couple weeks, and I'm not a big fan of the supplied sump. I've started looking into 3rd party sumps from BashSea and Synergy. Looking for any other suggestions. The waterbox will be 72" wide, so I'm wanting at least a 48" sump, debating if I want to go all the way up to 60" like the synergy provides, though that wont give me much room left in the cabinet for external equipment.

Wishlist:
* Supports a roller filter (Clarisea) without any modification
* Refugium chamber
* Adequate room for skimmer, etc.

It is hard to go wrong with a BashSea sump, but you may also want to look at a Geo sump (geosreef.com). Good luck with whatever you choose!

Do not get a sump with smoke or black acrylic it makes it difficult to see in and you may miss something that turns into something really bad.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
