Don't want to be rude, but just wanted to let you and others know that this fish doesn't occur in the wild in Hawaii, it's often exported from Hawaii wholesalers, but its usually just from the Christmas Island and is usually then mislabeled by retailers because of that.. if only they were found in Hawaii and I could see them in the wild...

Yes It was shipped diretcly to me from an Hawaii exporter and labeled as such (yet as you highlight, was probably collected much further west) and like lots of LFS here on the east coast I too labeled it as "where it was shipped out from" and not specifically where it was most likely "collected". I appreciate your clarification on the species & the way we sometimes get lazy and fall in line with whatever we have become accustomed to over many years of seeing such labeling at LFS despite it being a bit short of 100% correct.

Part of the very early stages of scale back of sorts and really just an attempt to pull some money out of THIS set up,[ which is my very first reef tank which is now approaching 12 or 13yrs old].....and possibly beginning to fund a potentiall new set up( as I am already scheming how good a larger tank would look on the lower level of my home with even more room to spread my wings)....nobody ever gets out of this hobby do they LOL.
