This guy was probably a very bad person, but, what did his parents do to him? and the cops? except in rare occasions people don't do things like this with out reason or provocation. The officers involved may have never met this person and may have been the gold standard for behavior and ethical treatment of those they came into contact with.
However in reality, if the truth is known, he was probably sexually abused as a child, had major authority issues and was completely institutionalized in the 11 years he was in jail. Lashing out at who seemed to be the most likely threat, and possibly those who had wrong him in the past. Without empathy we are no better than those that we look down on. I hope he and the police that he killed find peace and their families don't have to suffer more than necessary.
Just do your part and raise your children with respect for others and be happy your parents raised you to know the difference.

Capital punishment does work, and it is fair.

I am glad that Maurice Clemmons will not be able to hurt anyone else but let's not fool ourselves by thinking that capital punishment works. Capital punishment is not a deterrent. If it was there would be no murders in this country. It is punishment, plain and simple and I have NO problem with it IF the accused is indeed guilty. Since 1973, 135 innocent people have been released from death row in this country. If we are going to execute we better be sure.

I will choose to bow out of this discussion now and leave you with this. There are parents that abuse their children, does that make me a bad parent or taint how people view me.....NO! How does bringing up that there are bad cops have anything to do with the fact that this monster should never have been let out of prison. There was no deal or technicality involved. Seems to me you just took this opportunity to bash cops. That...is what's sad.

I brought it up because Huckabee is taking the blame for everything. He did what he thought was right, but everyone gets second chances. Hence, me saying not only criminals get off but also officers of the law. I never said the cops deserved to die but blaming Huckabee doesnt solve anything. There are many murders that happen because people are let off. Everyone is allowed second chances are they not?

I have made my fair share of mistakes. Nothing as serious as murder or ****, but no matter what I did, people trusted me and forgave me for my actions.

And yes, are society is tainted with views of one person making everyone else look bad. Any child abuction, missing person, or murder case, it always the closest person that the victim that is the primary suspect is it not? The first people question are the husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, etc. And thats because their is a long history of it. It sucks to hear but its the truth. Casey Anthony murders her child, Scott Peterson was the first suspect of the case and found out later, he was the murderer, Drew Peterson is in question for the murder of his wife and ex-wife.

If ever, my gf was abused or something worse, would I not be the first target?

Do you not think if the cop that crashed into the innocent teen was not a cop, would be on paid leave? we pay our taxes to pay people on leave being charged with 2 counts of manslaughter and 1 count of reckless driving? The legal system is allowing him free and who knows, maybe he drive recklessly again and kill more innocent people.

Any governor or president has given pardons at the end of their term. Cursing Huckabee is not the way to look at things. Many factors play into it not just one person.

Just because I didn't take your view there is no need to call me "sad." Did I say all cops are bad? Did I say the cops deserved it? You saying that Huckabee shouldn't be getting another good nights sleep. He does realize his mistake and admitted his misjudgment, not many people can own up to their own mistakes. Clemmons' wrote Huckabee a letter praying to show him forgiveness and that with the death of his mother he changed his ways. And with Huckabee being a former Baptist preacher, how could he not? He is the man of his faith, and believes everyone deserves second chances.
