40 breeder lighting

looking for advice on lighting for a 40 breeder softies and lps
 
It's all personal preference man. You could run LEDs, t5's. I would prolly steer away from MH though. Your Price range would help us narrow the search down too.
 
No price range and no LEDs ,either metal halide or t5s
 
Just set up a frag tank with a photon 24....

if you don't want led then its between t5 and mh. theres not a lot of demand for light with your coral selections so mh seem unnecessary unless you want some shimmer...
 
I have run mh, mh+t5, and led's over a 40b. I would honestly urge you to look toward nice led's. I currently run a single kessil a360w and am fairly happy with it, mh shimmer and no dark spots on the bottom of the tank (left and right upper limits don't get light).
 
So your saying I can get by with one kessil a360?
