I currently have a 40 gallon breeder i wanted a 75gallon but just didn’t have the budget. Started with the rock from my 75 and a shallow Carib Sea sand bed. For equipment I’m running
-Philizon reef Led (I can’t control the spectrum which is annoying)
-Figi cube AIO drop in kit with filter sock, filter pad, and reef crystals.
- some cheap Amazon power heads and return pump
-Aqueon heater
Live stock wise…
-2 fire fish
-Maroon clownfish( not aggressive at all in my experience)
- Bi color blenny
-CUC: astrea snails, red leg hermit crabs (about 4-5 of each), 1 Mexican turbo snail, 2 nassarius snails, and coral banded shrimp.
Coral:mix of easy softies.
The tank has been running for about 6 months now and i just switched to the black box light. I’m hoping to just keep it easy corals and hopefully a BTA for my maroon. Any feedback/tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How do you like the Fiji Cube drop in?
So far so good it seems to work good and very easy to clean. I have it on the right side and can easily access each chamber. The one downside as with all AIOs is you’re very limited space wise.

Great tank scape! I have a 40b that im currently seeding.

Why not add some LPS to spice things up a bit? A hammer? Frogspawn?

I am just concerned with the light it only has 3 modes: white, red, and green, blue, and then a mix of all of them. I can’t control the spectrum other than that I can only dim it or change modes. Will that be a problem, or which setting’s would you recommend. Currently running a mix of all of them at 30 percent. Here is a link to the light Philizon reef LED. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I dont think that you need to change the spectrum to keep those corals (someone correct me if i am wrong on that). For some SPS you may benefit from that.

I'll probably end up buying 2 AI Prime HD's when I buy the lights. I have other things to purchase first.

Okay thank you I’m considering just being safe and putting it on the setting where it just produces blue light rather than a mix of blue, red, green, and white.

Love the set up you have going.

As someone getting ready to set up a 40, may I ask what stand that is? It looks familiar and nice and would work great for my set up as well.
Definitely i love the flexibility of this size tank. Regarding the stand it was originally for a 75 gallon tank, I bought it from pet smart with the 75 gallon.
