With two drains i would suggest having a herbie style overflow

You put a valve on the lower drain pipe and restrict the flow until it barely trickles into the top drain.

My 40 Gal breeder

I just finished my post on my 40gb sump I designed and built. Has a view-able 15 Gal Refugium right up front and filter socks with Skimmer in the back. Was a very fun build and is working great so far on my 125.
