here is my new build. It is an acrylic, 50 gallon corner tank. I got the tank used from a local hobbyist and proceeded with drilling it for the drains and return in the back corner. Then I built my own overflow box using acrylic that I cut and bent to the shape and size I needed. Now I am in the process of getting it filled with water! I use sea water from a local source that feeds the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla.

Good question. The tank was used and acrylic tends to bow over time so I wasn't able to get a perfectly straight edge to weld on to. So, I used weld on where I could to boost strength and then filled in with silicon to make it watertight. So it's a bit of a hybrid job. I did have to cut some of the bracing in top to make an access hole for the overflow and in that case the new bracing was added with weld on.

Nice , as long as your overflow pipes are either threaded or sealed into the bulkheads, you should be fine. So far it's looking really cool.
