Decided to build the stand for my cube. Many thanks to crusso1993 for checking over my materials and finding a mistake I made. Here it is so far. Still have to attach the verticals and wrap it. Hopefully I’ll finish tomorrow.

I plan on using pallet wood strips and give it a rustic look. I’ll upload those when it gets finished.

I thought I’d give some thoughts to anyone reading this who is planning on building a stand. My stand is a 24” cube 48” tall. It took me about 5 hours to build. I made all the cuts first, but would recommend cutting as you go. Let someone look over your material list and plan, as I posted above, I had a mistake in mine that would have resulted in the stand being 4” to short. Buy more screws than you think you need. I used a 1lbs box and had to go buy another. I drilled pilot holes and glued everywhere I could. Using corner clamp to help join the 90 degree angles is a life safer. I wouldn’t build much higher than this without some type of cross brace, I could be wrong on this one, just my opinion.

I would suggest putting a piece of plywood underneath the stand so that you can create a sealed compartment for the sump. There WILL be spills that will be harmless if contained. Not so harmless if it soaks the wife's carpet.

hth!
