looking for stocking ideas for a 55 gallon. My fish I have two clowns, carpenter wrass, lawnmower blenny, and a coral beaty angel. Would like to add a hawkfish but not sure if that would work. Any other fish ideas need advice what would be best match.

You have 5 fish in a prob 45 gallon tank adding the rock and sand. That’s less than 10 gallons per fish . I think you are pretty full

A hawkfish should be alright. If you want a fish in the upper third of the water column you could have a pair of pajama or bangaii cardinalfish. Yellow Watchman goby is nice for a fish to work the sandbed.

You may be at a moderate to high bioload already and the Coral Beauty may act highly aggressive to any new tank inhabitants. I would recommend choosing a peaceful, bottom-dwelling species such as a Yellow Watchman Goby, Clown Goby, Firefish, or Possum Wrasse, but only 1. You may also need to rearrange rock work to allow new territories to be established.
