Hello! I am pretty new to the reef community and am stocking my first tank, a 55 long with a 10 gallon refugium, not a dream set up i know, but im planning on upgradingin a few years. I was wondering if you could help me decide if everyone here goes together reasonably, won't attack my coral, and it isn't too many fish. Any help or opinions are appreciated, thank you everyone!!

Currently stocked as follows:

2 ocellaris misbar clowns
1 tiger pistol shrimp
1 yellow watchman goby
1 variegated urchin
1 short spine urchin
1 peppermint shrimp
4 rock flower anemone
1 brittle star
CUC of about 15 snails, 15 hermit crabs, 2 small clams, and 2 emerald crabs in separate chambers of the refugium

Everyone on this list gets along great so far with no current signs of aggresion

I would also like to add:

1 firefish
1 diamond goby
1 pajama cardinal
1 banggai cardinal
1 six line wrasse (at the end)
1 starry blenny
1 pom pom crab
1 cleaner shrimp
1-3 sexy shrimp
1-2 fighting conch
Maybe eventually a mandarin goby

If this is way too many fish, or they're incompatible I would like to know before I spend a bunch of money and have some deaths to deal with.

I think you would be fine with what you want to add fish wise, assuming it's not all at once and you have plenty of rocks.

This would bring you to 8 fish (not counting the mandarin), and all are smallish, and inhabit the different tank zones. I've never had a 6 line, but it could pose a problem with CUC/aggression.

I will offer, I've had problems with hermits and conchs. Even with extra shells of various sizes, and ensuring they are well fed, hermits have killed every conch I've had for their shell.

I could be unlucky, but I thought I would put it out there. I'm not replacing the hermits so I can finally get a conch or two.

Okay cool, I was thinking maybe a royal gramma instead of a six line wrasse to try to keep it peaceful. Any suggestions for alternate sand sifters that won't be easy prey?
