Going to a coral expo this 20 want to know some corals you guys would recommend I love the look of torches and want a flowing tank also I’m a new reefer

Torches can be a bit finicky, especially the less common colors. Nothing is more discouraging than losing a beautiful expensive coral. I still feel the sting of that and I have been doing this for quite a long time.

If I were you, I would look for something easier and probably less expensive. Toadstool and finger leathers are usually fairly easy. Palys can be easier. If you just love euphillia, then the common color hammers, frogspawn or torches are the way to go. Once you have had success with those then go ahead and try the less common colors.

Many softies are easy and as you gain experience they can be traded in to your LFS for more demanding ones. Things like nepthea, zoas, Kenya trees, mushrooms might be good.
