60 cube upgrade from biocube 32

Hi everyone. This will be fairly short and sweet. Finally picked up a 60 cube to upgrade into. So stoked!

First off the tank came with a particle board stand. I would never feel comfortable with it knowing that I'm just one spill away from total disaster so i built myself a stand.

I ripped the face off of the original stand so it would look nice. I'm far from a carpenter.

Didn't get any pics of the transfer. It was a little nerve wracking for me. Dispite some unintended fragging everything made it and is adjusting nicely

The drain was 1.5" open top pipe which reduces to 1" at the bulkhead with a union and then a ball valve. The return was glued in place setup with a few 90° elbows for the return.

I installed a durso drain and locline for the return. Much more quiet but the return pipe is too tall and since its glued into the bulkhead i can't adjust it without removing the whole thing. Grrrrr.

A couple more weeks. Taking my time with the rock. Here is a pic from the other day. Got a yellow eye kole tang into the tank!!

Picked up a mille and a maricultured arco with a pair of banded acro crabs living in it. Also got my first blasto welsi and a cool ricordia that is behind it in the pic.

Just a little update. Got my rock structure finalized and am getting corals in their places. Also got a chance to do some testing with a par meter and am slowly raising my light intensity to get more par into the tank. Average at the top was about 175 and 80 at the sandbed.
