Set up 3 years this coming February.

Weekly glass cleaning.

Calcium reactor and kalk in freshwater dosed overnight. Iodine twice weekly, I find that correct Iodine level is critical!!

Monitoring with Trident and monthly ICP. Iodine level is critical!

Daily feeding: nori, pellets, live phyto, baby brine shrimp, rotifers, copepods.

22 tank-raised yellow Tangs, 12 yellowtail damsels, pair black Storm Clownfish that spawn every 10-14 days.

Wow thanks for all the details! Really appreciate it

Do you do any water changes?

And if you’re willing to share, what do you keep your iodine levels at?

Occasional small water changes to siphon detritus that accumulates in back corners.

Iodine target 50-90ug/l. It is taken up by algae so in a system with macros it can be more difficult to maintain. I know most consider Iodine to be inconsequential, but I find it extremely important.

Another important addition is twice monthly dosing of Hydrospace ProBio.

I agree on the iodine. Since starting Moonshiners and dosing iodine up to 75-80 I’ve noticed a big improvement in coral health.

I’ve been thinking about adding ProBio dosing to my regimen. Do you follow the dosing instructions on the bottle?

I dose 1/2 bottle twice a month.
