Think the attached video shows best what I am trying to ask.
I attached the pump with the magnets to the back of the tank but still wanted the pump pointing sideways.
Now when I run the pump in a wave mode the pump is going up and down quite a bit.
Is this caused because the pump is not properly inserted into the holder or is the movement normal and I shouldn't worry?

That is normal, the silicon cushions are compressing and expanding with the pulsing of the pump.
