I did get a wave started...but my tank isn't up and running yet, so I really haven't played with it much.

ok finally moving forward again on the cabinet tank build. Thanks for your patience.

Still working on the bottom cabinet. Got the top cut and set in place, still need to stain and varnish. The top is 2" solid oak! Super sweet. More photos to follow.

My DIY Overflow. I designed it in a manner that if one of the overflow tubes gets blocked, there's a second one to take its place. I created a "y" design. And should that fail, I have a sensor that if the water level should hit it, it would turn off the return pump.
So here's some photos. The tank is shut down now, in order to construct the cabinet...so water level has dropped and the tank is covered in Saran Wrap to keep debris out of the tank.

Now we are getting somewhere!
Cabinets done!

Ordered my sand today...Tropic Eden mini and ReefFlakes to mix. 60lbs dry, 20 lbs live.
Added shelves to my cabinets and did some plumbing work.

Here we go!

Thank you. I'm amazed myself how it makes a little 65 gal into a centerpiece. And I love how much it contains the noise...huge difference from before the doors were added. The only thing I hear now is the Vortech when at 95% reefcrest or tidal surge.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
