Hello All,

I decided to begin a new build thread for my 65g tank upgrade. I will be slowly transferring my 29g livestock. Below is the equipment.

Standard 65g tank
29g sump
Eshopps Eclipse Overflow
Sicce 3.0 return pump
2 AI Hydra 26 hds
2 Jebao PP4
Bubble Magus Curve 5
BRS Reactor
Spectra pure maxpure 90gpd RODI

Aquaforest Supplements

This is a slow build in progress. Below are some pictures. Any feedback is well appreciated.

I still need a pvc gate valve for the overflow, a couple more 45 degree elbows, and some threaded vinyl tubing to connect the return pump and for the refugium section of the sump (that's why it looks unfinished).

Everything is dry fitted and who'll hopefully be able to start gluing tomorrow. Can't wait to get it wet

Looks like I won't have the gate valve for another week so the tank will stay dry.

On a side note, knowing I needed more rock and water to upgrade from a 29 to a 65, I bought another 50 pounds of rock and a 60 gallon storage bin a few weeks ago and filled it. Threw in a couple power heads, a heater, and a desk light and started cycling the rock using fish food and aquaforest bio s. Added some snails and hermits about a week ago

Anyone else ever done this?

Thanks. It's taken a while, but I'm happy it's finally fine. Moving livestock was not fun

Added some new fish over the last couple weeks. I was super nervous about adding three at once. I've always been a one fish at a time guy. Luckily there was no ammonia spike.
