@rvitko,
I have two new 6105 Eco pumps with the 7020 controllers. I'm having trouble with the food timer. I am using them in manual mode, connected to each other via 3.5 mm aux cable, with one set in manual mode and the other in analog mode as leader and follower. I tried using the Tunze hub, was able to connect both pumps to the hub but found it confusing to use and would prefer to just use the 7020 controllers, for now at least.

The problem is that when I press the food timer button it only shuts off for one minute, not 10. When they are not linked via aux cable and both are in manual mode the food timers only pauses the pumps for one minute, not 10 minutes like the manual says it should. When I have them linked as leader and follower, with both food timers activated the leader shuts off for 1 minute and the follower stays off for 10 minutes. If I reverse the settings, i.e. switch which one is set in manual mode and which is in analog mode they both turn back on after 1 minute. What is going on here? Is there a way to reset the duration of the food timer without connecting to the Tunze hub? Also, when they are linked as leader and follower is pressing the food timer button on one of them supposed to shut both pumps off, or do I need to push the food timer button on both of them? Thanks.

The foodtimer duration is set in Tunze HUB, likely it has a saved 1 minute timer for the one pump and this needs to be changed in the HUB to 10 minutes if that is what is desired.

I did check it in the hub and set it to 10 minutes (it was not set at 1 minute in the hub), but when I switched the 7020s back to manual or leader/follower mode they reverted to 1 minute. Is there any other way to reset the 7020?

Unfortunately, I will need to check on this as I have not tried it.

@rvitko, did you find out how to reset the 7020 controllers? Both of them are still shutting the pumps off for just one minute when I press the food timer button when they are in manual mode.

I have not, I asked the engineering team and as of yet have no reply. I will check in and see if I can push them.

This was the reply from the factory engineering team:

Hi Roger

As you said the only reason I can imagine is that somehow the duration got Set by Hub to 1min.
There is a duration Tab for each pump and for global.
For Pump ist is like this: (Except 7020 Don't have the "Screens" Tab.)

And in the profile

Factory reset is done by holding "Foodtimer" and "Mode" for 3s.

So he could check these menues if there is something changed or send pictures how they are when behaving strange.

Foodtime should be triggered to the follower too if connected by cable. But could be that only the timer is started so independent times possible. I would need to recheck to be absolutely sure as this setup is used rarely.

Thanks Roger.

I did check the food timer setting in the hub before starting this thread. But please note that I tried running the pumps in manual and leader/follower mode before connecting them to the hub and that was when I noticed this problem. I only connected to the hub to try to fix it. In the hub the food timer was not set at 1 minute, it was set at 15 minutes when I first connected to the hub. I reset it to 10 minutes, but when I switched back to manual or leader/follower mode then pressing the food timer button still only stopped the pump for one minute. It did not keep the setting from the hub. I will check everything again.

Foodtime should be triggered to the follower too if connected by cable.
Not sure what this means. Does this mean that when set in leader/follower mode I should just press the food timer button on the follower controller to pause both pumps? Not sure I tried that. I do have the two 7020s connected by cable, with the leader set in manual mode and the follower set in analog mode.

I know you had checked it, but basically what Daniel wrote me was that the only way this can happen that he knows of is a setting and that there is a foodtimer setting at large for all pumps and for individual pumps and possible the individual pump is set to 1 min. Worst case, a hard reset will solve it as the factory default is 10 minutes, but if you ever want to connect to the HUB again, you have to start all over so that is the draw back.

The pump is analog is the follower, it should enter foodtimer mode when you press foodtimer on the main/leader pump when they are teathered by the cable but if a setting was changed it will instead run the set foodtimer length.
