I'm making some progress on getting my 715 gallon FOWLR build off the ground. See my other thread for the 210 that has to be cycled and working before I can move the 715 out of the garage. I have the tank, stand, canopy, heaters, sand, and a 125 gallon remote refugium, in my garage or on the back patio.

I'm working out the mechanics of the sump which is going to have to be custom built along with some DIY rock making and finally a modest LED light strip.
I'm going to order a My Reef Creations MR-7 skimmer brand new.

Anyone with hands on experience with small sharks and rays that has comments on the filtration should feel free to contact me with suggestions!
Thanks.

I need to give you a shout the next time I'm in Marshall, or Tatum. Only problem its usually right in the middle of the day. I'd love to see a POTM tank winner.

Nice tank. What will you be keeping?

My next tank upgrade will be a bare bottom, with a Pred tank they produce a lot of detritus and they are easier to take care of

The final stocking list is still a bit up in the air. I have a small cat shark now that we are keeping along with a volitan, red scorpion, snow flake eel, fuzzy dwarf, and various starfish.
I'm going to add an epaulette shark and radi for sure.

I may go with a male/female pair of cortez sting rays or a single larger fiddler ray.
Possibly a sweetlips.

Nice tank. What will you be keeping?

Modest update. I have purchased a new skimmer for the tank after a bit of bump in the road with a previous attempt.
Also I have a new hammerhead shark for the tank. Yep. A hammerhead. Her name is Gracie.

:) Nothing like a Golden Hammerhead to add some flash :)

Sounds like a fun going tank, I look forward to the progress!
