Recently bought a house and took down my shallow 80 reef... seen here...

New house does not have a lot of horizontal wall space open due to open floor plan... so I wanted to try something different... settled on a deep blue 74 gallon tower... 24x24x30.. rimless with low iron glass... (sorry not a true cube, can I stay?)

I have not seen many (any??) of these probably due to the depth.. but I like a challenge...

Wife wanted white so we painted the stand and the bottom tank trim..

Looks good, and I like the rock work layout. Hoping to start my 80g cube next month.

Got the sump arranged.. it's a tight fit without much room to work, but it's all in haha...

Also added a bottle of Dr Tims and 90 drops of ammonia to get the cycle going...

Nice, I use the 74 deep blue (rimmed and non-reefready) for my planted tank. Cool shaped tank.

That's really nice!! Subscribed
Thanks, yea it is a unique shape... I'm liking it..

Rocks up close.. should have nice space for corals and good caves and depth for fish...

And a side note... wasn't sure if the low iron glass was worth it or not.. totally worth it.. clarity is awesome, can't even tell there is glass there...

Very nice set up! I look forward to seeing this. I've always wondered what one of these would look like all grown in. If I were in your shoes, I'd be going for an 8 bulb fixture.
