Hi all,

Good morning.

Does anybody have a standard 8 ft planet aquarium with an internal overflow box? Im trying to buy a sump from Synergy but I need to know how many drains there are, what size, and how many return drilled holes and the size. I believe the drains are 1.5 inch but no clue about the returns. Im using a Vectra L2 as a return.

Thank you all!!!

Good morning,

I have a 8’ planet with internal and it’s 2 3/4” returns and 2 1” drains. Not sure if my tank is considered standard as I have a pvc bottom and shorter overall

they have the spec sheets at http://www.dfwaquarium.com/Products/Aquarium/

I would double check

This is what I got from Synergy.. The sump comes with three 1.5 inch drains and two 1.5 inch returns. I can always reduce?

I thought Planet tanks came with a third emergency overflow hole? Its so difficult trying to get a hold of them..

I’ve owned 3 planet tanks with internal and never had 3 drains. I have a reducer where my drains connect to the sump. As far as the connections for the returns I do not use them at the sump as I run dual returns and UV, my current sump does not have return connections anyways.

who did you order the tank from? Planet doesn’t really have a “standard” 8’ tank. What are the dimensions?
