8020 aluminum stand help

I have a 15 series 8020 aluminum stand and I’m trying to find a solution for securing my pvc plumbing. I thought the Clic clamps would be it, but they don’t seem to designed for the 8020 bolts. I’d rather not have to modify and drill into every clamp to make the opening large enough for the bolt, but unless I can find clamps designed to work with 8020 hardware, i’ll have to likely affix slats to the 8020 and then use screws into the slats. while this would work, I’ve seen other videos where they’ve used clamps connected directly to the aluminum frame, so I wanted to ask here first in case anyone’s found a clamping system that secures directly to the 8020 frame?

Are the clamps not plastic? Surely it would take seconds to drill a hole in each one. Just have the HSS drill bit running in reverse direction so that it will drill the hole without binding up.

The ones you’ve seen with the clamps on the 80/20 are probably just screwed to the 80/20.

We have been using 80/20 for years at my office, making industrial control panels. It’s pretty cool to see it being used for aquariums, although I don’t trust it that much.

They are, and thanks for the tip to run in reverse. That’s been part of the complaint with some other plastic drilling I have done. It would bind and grab the piece I was drilling into.

After looking closer this morning, it does seem that drilling for the 8020 bolts I have work, especially for the larger clic clamps.
